Allyson and I met towards the end of 1987 when we were both on enforced bedrest in the Rotorua Public Hospital maternity ward. Ally was expecting her twins Jason and Megan while I was awaiting the arrival of Dianne. We were roomies for a time but were separated when both of us had elevated blood pressure from too much tom foolery.
After the babies had arrived we maintained contact and became best buddies. The tom foolery didn’t stop and our friendship saw us stand beside each other through all manner of events and crisis.
Sadly my Buddy passed away in 2009 but the memories many of us share of her will always be with us. Some of those will be added in further posts.
