Timaru is where I spent many holidays staying with my Dads parents, Stan and Ann (Nancy) Smith.  Located on the East Coast of New Zealands South Island close to the ski fields and Aoraki (Mount Cook). The most memorable things about these holidays were going to lawn bowls, visiting Temuka for Devonshire tea at the pottery, the carnival at Caroline bay, afternoon tea at Farmers and egg milkshakes at breakfast.  Of course there were all the additional Aunts and Uncles as well as the visits to Oamaru to see Uncle Walla.

Check out Timaru

This place has fantastic weather, great cafes and lots of warm fuzzy memories.
