Easiest Meat Loaf

The title says it all – meat loaf recipes don’t come much easier than this one but it also has the potential to be “dressed up”.   Samantha likes to make this recipe from a book her Auntie Christine got her and has used it as a base to start creating her own adaptations.  Tonight Samantha and Jave cooked this meatloaf for dinner with cheese in the mix and served it up with mashed potatoes and steamed vegetables.

 

Mmmmmmm meatloaf

 

  • 750 grams Minced Meat (beef lamb, pork or chicken)
  • 250 grams Sausage Meat
  • 1 Cup Fresh Breadcrumbs
  • 1 1/2 Cups Spicy Salsa or Pasta sauce
  1. Put everything in a big bowl
  2. Wear gloves to mush everything together
  3. Grease and line (paper or foil) a 6 cup tin or dish
  4. Press mixture into tin
  5. Bake at 180°C for about 1 hour

Serve with Tomato sauce, gravy, BBQ sauce, Sweet chilli sauce etc

Additions  or toppings you could use-

  • Mushrooms
  • Capsicum
  • Cheese
  • Tomato
  • Grated Carrot
  • Onion
...Mush it all together
