Cheese ball for with crackers or vegetable sticks

Straight out of the 70’s came the cheeseball.  This orb of cheesieness had many variations that depended on the maker and the ingredients at hand.  This recipe is a basis and should only ever form a guideline for your imagination and creativity to personalise for your guests.  We had these recently at our bubbles and balloons party made by my sister Anne-Louise and my sister-in-law Tristan.

Cheese ball
  • ¾ Cup Cream Cheese – soft is best
  • 2 Tablespoons finely chopped onion
  • 2 Tablespoons chopped Gherkin
  • 2 Tablespoons chopped Parsley
  • 1 Tablespoon Tomato Sauce
  • 1 Tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 Cup Grated Tasty Cheese
  1. Mix everything together
  2. Form into one large ball
  3. Roll in chopped walnuts, sesame seeds, chopped herbs or something similar
  4. Serve surrounded by crackers and or vegetable sticks

Variations can include:-

  • Make into smaller balls to serve as individual servings
  • Sherry instead of tomato sauce
